The View from the Field

These pictures show two of our teams in action yesterday at the rural Mayan Villages that we were able to visit. Your students were able to play and share with the local children and to present their VBS program, along with games and crafts. These were some of the pictures that I was able to grab from team cameras. I will do my best to feature our other teams members as the week continues. We just finished a time of fellowship and lunch at the church after the morning presentation for a Kindergarten Chapel at a local Merida school. The special treat for the students after the school program was a quick trip to WalMart! You gotta love it! WalMart seems as popular and available these days as CocaCola. The teams will be rotating this afternoon and presenting their individual VBS programs at new places today. The plan is to gather together again tonight at the church for dinner and debrief and then off to the hotel for bed. I believe that I overheard some students today asking Pastor Mike for an early bedtime--or maybe that was me talking outloud!
All for now. Great kids. Good stuff happening. Sincerely, Jan
